Get paid to help make Parkrose* a better and more resilient place to live!

*99th to 121st on Sandy BlvdJoin eight community design workshops for youth of color (Ages 14-20) living or going to school in Parkrose. Free design and art supplies provided. Youth will receive a $250 stipend if they attend 7/8 sessions.We want to learn from you:

  • What kind of housing do you and your family need?
  • What kind of jobs do you and your family wish you had?
  • How do you get around the neighborhood and city?
  • Where do you hang out and what do you do for fun?
  • What would you and your family do in an emergency, like an earthquake?

Over the eight workshop events, you’ll get to help design and improve your community. You’ll also learn about:

  • Career and job training opportunities
  • Architecture and urban design skills
  • How to help your family and neighbors in an emergency
  • How to advocate for your community’s needs
